Bodycon House

A house that morphs with the body over time

My research stems from a material exploration that engages the body. This exploration focused my research, which shows that body and materials can evolve together to create tailored ... spaces. Bodycon house emerges from my body’s proportions and its movement in space. The house maps my body’s evolution as it engages with the architecture. The interior of the house is a series of spaces. These spaces are of various sizes.

My emotional state is interlinked with my experience of the bodycon house. When sad, the walls embrace me. When tired, my body rests on the surface that suits it best. This surface will change over time as my body evolves. The house is not located on a specific site nor is it programmed as house. In fact, the project only becomes a house when my body inhabits it and as develops an intimate relationship with space. For example, I bathe when rain enters the house and fills crevasses with water.
